The foot pedal as to be relase all the way before the car will move

Is the clutch pedal hard all the way going down?Or does it drop some before it gets hard?If the clutch master/slave cylinder is good sounds like a worn out clutch. You would replace the clutch disc throw out bearing and pressure plate. Also have the flywheel turned.

It has a very very light drop but hard rest of the way down

If you have a drop before it gets hard also replace the clutch/master cylinder assembly buy the complete assembly sealed. Dont try to buy the seperate parts you will wish you didnt.
