3 of my 6 cylinders are working

I have a Saturn ls300 I was told that 3 of my 6 cylinders are working. What does that mean and how can I fix it?

I have no codes yet. I went go get my fires done and test drove it and said it's kind of back firing.

It could have jumped time those early years has belt tenisor issues.
