I had a thermostat stuck open, so I replaced it. Now my car stalls while driving. Never at idle or when cold. The trouble codes I have indicate a bad fuel cap, and a bad O2 sensor. The car drives fantastic when it isn't stalled and it always restarts easily after a stall. The question is this, Can an O2 sensor malf cause this, or do I need to reset the ECM after the cooling problem? I really don't think it's a fuel pump at least I hope not. (Very expensive) Any thoughts or suggestions on this issue are appreciated.

You don't need to reset a n ecm after a tstat change only when engine light is on and when part is fixed most scanners can do that. Scan for codes an dcheck fuel pressure with a gauge for your stalling problem if that stuff is ok then clean throttle plate on both sides and iac hole with choke cleaner. Autoparts rent the gauge
