Battery on wrong

Hello I wonder if any of you nice people can help me with my problem, I gave my woman my card to buy a battery for peugout 307 as I got home she was fitting it.I asked to help she said no I am ok only clips in I went, in she come screaming my car was smoking she quickly disconnected battery I told she had it wrong way a green terminal threw her?Now on right way lights stay on and back wiper comes on when turning over wont start either has she killed her beloved please any advice what lines of action would be great

Start by checking for blown fuses. There are going to be at least a few. There are protection diodes built into most computer modules to force fuses to blow and save those computers, but they still can be damaged sometimes. Suspect the Body Computer for wiper problems and the Engine Computer for running problems. There will likely also be a very large fuse blown for the generator. It can usually handle the very short current surge until the fuse blows so it probably is okay.
