2001 Peugeot 206 front drivers side noise

My peugeot 206 has just started mking a noise from the front wheels on drivers side sounds like a grinding noise when driving gets abit quiter when braking then all of a sudden there wos a loud grinding and abang still drives ok exept its got abt quiter any ideas?

Could be the brakes. Have them checked. May have thrown a pad.

Probably brakes have gone metal to metal, get them checked ASAP.
