P0342 CAM sensor replaced it and crank sensor still get code

Its a 2.4l running as if on 3 cyl. Replaced fuel filter ignition module coils plugs map, cam, crank sensors and engine control computer" had programmed for car" checked timing chain and fuel injectors and still getting code for cam sensor P0342

If cam sensor is unplugged engine runs the same no difference if plugged in Any ideas

Is it properly mounted? Are all the wires to and from it in good condition?

Yes it's 1 bolt and pushes straight in and wires look good to cam and crank sensors

Hello I'm waiting for a reply. This car is a charity case I've worked on this car for a week and I've tried everything. I'm spent alot of money and the woman I'm helping is recouping from open heart surgery and travels for doctor appointments. When you change the cam sensor you have to change the crank also, or else you will get a code from crank. Same this happen to my 99 alero got it changed last night

Ok yes changed both cam and crank. ******CODE I receive is P0340 NOT P0342 sorry I miss typed*******
