Get a second quote from a different work shop, that is way to much.

Hah no. I just had my valve cover gasket changed with new spark plugs. The gasket is only like 20$ and spark plugs are like 5-10$ a piece, with about an hour of labor. It only cost me $100 even. Just find a good shop
