Knock Sensor No. 1 On top right side of engine, under intake manifold.
Knock Sensor No. 2 On top left side of engine, under intake manifold. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Recently the check engine and VCS lights came on. Checked the faults and I'm getting P0330(knock sensor 2 malfunction). I measured both sensors(didn't know which one is #2) for continuity and both are good -no continuity. The harness seamed to be OK also . When I switch from regular gas to premium gas the fault goes away.
What should I do next?
Thank you.

I don't think you are referring to my car.I don't have left and right banks. Lexus es300 has rear and front banks. Anyway the sensor past the continuity test, so it cant be a bad sensor.

Yes I am refering to your car. You see it as front and rear but that is not how it refered to in the industry. What you do is look at the engine as if the engine was inline not transversed. Left would be drivers and right would be passenger. So if the front of the the engine is pointed to the passenger side of the car then what you see as the front is refered to as the left. Hope this helps let me know what you find.

The knock sensor is located under the intake manifold. There are 5 bolts. 3 at the front and 2 at the side that you will have to remove. There is also a frame the back that holds everything up so you will have to remove that as well. Good luck

There are two knock sensors. One on each side of the engine block, and it locate between the water coolent hiose. There are about 25 bolts to take out before you can see the knock sensors. They locate below the intake manifold and fuel injectors manifold.

Where is the Knock Sensor located on my 99 Lexus ES300? I had the computer tested on my car at Autozone & the results said it was the knock sensor.

The knock sensor alerts the ecm of any excessive vibrations occuring inside the engine. Often when the knock sensor relays a problem to the ecm its too late. Other times the sensor corrodes & sends a signal to the ecm. If the engine is running fine then I would say its probably just then sensor.
