Why wouldn't my brake lights work if my headlights are on

Hello, I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo.
When my headlights are off my brake lights work fine. But when I turn my headlights on my left brake light doesn't work.
Would you know why?

Bad ground in the socket. Remove the bulb and clean the terminals.

Tried that. When I turn on my headlights the whole left tail light goes out.

Thats a ground issue. The socket may need to be replaced
