Well trying to start I turn the key to the on.

Well trying to start I turn the key to the on position and then to the run position it did not engage the starter when I turn it back to the off position. It stays in the on position the instrument cluster lights are on and the radio is on. I cannot turn off with the keys I have to disconnect my battery cable. Thank you

Check the ignition switch and cylinder lock-

I cannot turn off with the keys I have to disconnect my battery cable. Can you take the key out of the ignition? Explain

I can take the key out of the ignition put the lights on the instrument cluster stay on like you would be if I was getting ready to start it before you engaged the startler
