Sometimes my oil presure will drop to zero at operating temperature. What could be the problem?

WHen I start my durango the oil pressure is good. Once it reaches operating temp. It will stay at the lower oil pressure line, sometimes when I'm at a stop it will drop to the red line.

The first thing I would do is get a oil pressure gauge set and hook it up make sure what the actual pressure is then go from there. Thats way you rule out bad gauge sender wiring etc.

Then it could be a worn oil pump we will cross that bridge when we come to it.
