I got second hand unit and brought the durango to be programmed, now they tell me that it will not start when the programming was done but they tried a new pcm and it started then, so now dodge want $800 for new one, so can I get another second hand pcm and fit it to my car? Also will it need programming again? Thanks

If you replace the PCM, it has to be programmed.

PCM is also the ECU. PCM is power control module whereby the transmission control are oncorporated into it whereas ECU is so called because it is only for engine control management and would have the transmission control unit separated from it.

If the second hand unit is known to be good, it can be reprogrammed to work.
