2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser Tune up

I have a 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser that is so hard to start often I have to tap the gas a few times while turning the ignition. It drives slow & while driving it will stall, and most of the time shut off giving the red lit oil sign. But it will start again, sometimes right away and others its the same taping the gas pedal deal. Also the car sounds like a loud go cart. I bought the car at 130,000 miles and its now at 133,000. Would a tune up fix some of these problems? And what is the average cost for one?

Check the fuel pressure with a gauge if its within specs. Check exhaust system for restriction-start here
