2001 Chevrolet Suburban 4X4 Indicator

My 4x4 indicator keeps blowing fuses. I have changed out the actuator on the front differential and still when shifting from 2wd to 4wd my fuses blow. Is it the switch in the dash that is blowing them and if so how do I replace it?

Disconnect the actuator on the transfer case to see if the fuse blows. If it doesn't, the short is in the actuator or the wiring at the actuator. If it still blows, you have a short before the actuator.
