2001 Chevrolet Silverado Transmission

While driving it made a loud pop when I got home and tried to back it in my driveway it started jerking like I was slamming the brakes. Now it acts like it doesn't want to engage in reverse or drive. Could it be in the transfer case or the transmission pump going out. Any suggestions

Have a local trans guy look at this from your description something may have broken in either tcase or trans. Especially with the mileage on it.

Thanks for your response I'm thinking trans. Case. But I'm going to take it to get looked at for sure
