Wont reverse when i put it in gear, but drives foward fine

I have a 2001 bmw 530i. my reverse quit working out the blue. It worked fine the night before perfect. but today it dont.

The issue might require a trip to your BMW service provider. It could be software or something internal/mechanical. With out more data points, I am not able to assist you further.
