Door lock problem

Hi I have the 2000 toyota 4 runner with the door lock problem. It will unlock but will not lock either with the door switch or remote. I tried what you said to ground the test light to the white and brown wire to see if the door locks but nothing happened. I tried the ground to the white and brown wire like you said the last time I asked you I dont know if you remember and nothing happened. I also noticed that the passanger doors unlock and the rear driver side door unlocks but the drivers door will not unlock with either the switch or remote. Should I try a very big heavy hammer and smack it really hard someone told me to change the entire fuse box but do you know what toyota wants for that $600.00. Thank you for your time helmut
