Lost key

I have a 2000 saturn sl2 and I lost my key I was wondering if I could get a key made for the car with just the door lock colum that would also work in the ignition

If the car has a factory alarm(and it does) it requires a key that has a chip in it and it will need programed.

That model and yr saturn doesn't have a chip in the key it use's a pass lock sensor in the ignition housing. What your going to have to do is take your registration to a chevy dealer or other gm dealer to prove it's your car. They will take the last eight of your vin number and look up your key code and make you a new key. That will be the cheapest way to get a key made.
