I have a 2000 Maxima, and a recent illuminated check engine light led to Code P1320 from my scanner. The discription is "distributer interuption". My problem is that it does not pinpoint to which of the six(6) ignition Coil I should replace. Since each one costs $130, I do not want to replace all six. Do you know a way to pin down the specific problem ignition coil, choosing from #1 to #6

Nissan has had problems with this and there fix is all coils. No other codes? Does engine miss? Is Premium fuel being used?

Thank you a million for your quick response. My scanner gave the single code P1320 (distributor interuption)only and I only heard misfiring once in the 8 days of driving and that triggered the engine check light to come forth.I subsequently erased the code and the check light went off and I have not seen it come back in 3 days of drving now. Also I do use preium 91 octane gasoline. Do you suggest that I should wait for the bad coil to give more symptoms and indications? Do profesional auto machanics usually possess a more powerful scanner that provides more details?

Yes we use @$8000 unit a code reader is just that. Our scanner interfaces with car PCM and can find a mirad of things.
If CEL is off and no miss I would let it ride could have been a random miss.
