I washed my engine now it has a check engine light

I had just give my 2000 mitsubishi galant engine wash and after one day check engine came on what could be the problem? A day after I had an engine wash the check engine light came on and doesn't want to come off what can I do. It has in new catalytic convertors and recently had the check engine light come off after the convertors were added which was about a month ago

You need to have the computer scanned to identify what caused the light to come on. Chances are something got wet. Once scanned and identified, have it reset to see if the problem comes back. Most parts stores will do it for free.
