Had code 36 4 months ago. Ended up after cking all connections, having to replace the drivers seat airbag. After replacement of this airbag the light went out. All ok. Now 4 months later I have code 36 again. What now? Len

There are 4 different Code 36 and OBD-II would be more accurate.

B1992, B1993, B1994 and B1995 are all Code 36.

B1992 = Left-side air bag circuit short to battery or ignition.
B1993 = Left-side air bag circuit short to ground.
B1994 = Left-side air bag circuit resistance high.
B1995 = Left-side air bag circuit resistance low.

Get the OBD-II code to narrow down on the diagnostic procedures.
