I have a 2000 kia sportage 4X4 automatic and need the brakes done on the rear, what does that consist of? Pads? Shoes? Drums? I've been told by several people it has one or the other and not sure what I need to buy for it to be changed out?

You need to check to see if it has disc or drum brakes. If you go to our homepage under the DIY section, there are directions for both types that will show you what they look like and how to replace them.

I have a problem with the emergency brake, I don't need a brake shoe or drum replacement.

Hi,

What is happening? Does the parking brake work at all? Is your vehicle the same year make and model as the one listed on this thread?

Let me know.

Joe
