I have a 2000 ford Ranger. Cylinder # 5 and 6 are misfiring. I replaced the plugs and wires, and still had the problem. I checked the distributor for spark and I have it. I added stuff to the oil and fuel. I figured I might have a compression leak. # 5 cylinder is working ok now, but #6 still has an issue.

Perform a compression test. If #6 is more than 10PSI lower than the rest, squirt a little oil into the cylinder and retest. Check the electrode for cylinder #6 under the distributor cap.
