I have a 2000 ford focus an I think the tps is a manual sensor an I have a auto does it make a difference

Was your original changed? Also, the computer is what makes the difference, not the sensor. But if the sensor was from a different engine than yours, then it'll may supply the computer with different data than what it needs.

You can quickly take off the sensor and take it to AutoZone or another parts store to compare it with the sensor that supposed to be on the car. If you know how to use a volt meter, you can test the output of the sensor and compare it to what it should be to determine if it's faulty or not.
