Engine misfire

I have a2000 e-250 van w/122000 miles triten v8. Two weeks ago I blew a plug out of the head and had that repaired w/the kit. All went well w/the repair. This morning it is misfiring, when I parked it fri.(Outside)it was fine, don't know what to make of it? Thers is a burning smell outside the van (had to drive it to work). Service engine light is on

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL/SES to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.

Thanks - tomorrow I am taking it to the shop - about 10-12 miles. Do you think I'll do damage by driving it there?
