2000 Chevrolet Venture transmission

While driving back from a trip I stopped for around 20 minutes and when I got back in the car it wouldn't go when I put it in drive. It will go when I shift it into 1st gear and into 2nd and then it will go when I put it into drive but will not go when just put into drive.

Have a trans guy look at this, I t may be the overrunning clutch inside trans has broken that is why when yo manually shift it ti goes to a different application so it will go through the gears.
