2000 Chevy silverado 2500 will drive forward slow has to give it a lot of gas will drive in reverse with no problem transmission fluid is full and there are no leaks.

The first thing I would do is check the transmission pressure.

2000 chevy silverado 2500 2 wheel drive can you take out a 4l80E and put in a 4l60E with out changing the drive shaft or rear end?

You want to stick with the 4L80E is heavier duty and made for your application.
