My car battery wont charge past 53% but it starts without a problem and the alternator is charging at a perfect voltage. Alternator is brand new but this morning when I accelerated it cut down along with fan and when I let off gas it returned to normal and has ran fine just wondering what might be wrong.

First how old is the battery if older than 4 yrs you are on borrowed time. Then recommended replacement of belt and tensioner is 60,000 mi. That may be your one problem that you last described. Finally check to see if the fusible link between starter and alternator is not burned it should have same voltage on both sides. Then check the two fuses in pic.
