I would get the lowdown on the car b4 inking the deal. So, no, dont do it unless they represent.

The garage said he would show me what he has done and give me a reciept but couldn't give me a diagnostic report because the garage is closed until the 4th Jan and so the bloke who does the reports isn't back in until then. He is opening the garage just so I can view it. I can't wait until the 4th because I don't live close to the car so I need to make a decision now really. Do you think If I get a reciept and he shows me what he's done that is enough or am I better leaving it?
Thanks for the quick response:-)

Better safe than sorry. If the issue is something that is going to cause trouble in the long run, leave it. The opening for a view means little if you dont know what you are supposed to be looking at. Maybe have a contingency clause inked into the deal.
