2000 Acura CL Battery LIght is on

I have a 1.6EL 2000 recently having lots of problems with electrics. Recently just changed battery, checked the alternator and rewired the connector to the oxygen sensor, although the engine light is showing that it has to be changed.
MY main problem is that the battery light is now on. What causes this? WHy is the light on?

What shall I be looking into to solve this problem?

With the car running at idle you cant have less than 13 volts with all your lights and air on. Check that and if its less than 13 volts, check the battery first. New batteries go bad too.

Usually when the battery light comes on it means the alternator is faulty.
