I had a mechanic put a new engine in my car. worked great afterwards for about 2000 miles. now its acting up again. I brang it to another mechanic and he said it needed a new head gasket and a new coil because the mechanic who put my engine in broke my coil and put my head gasket on wrong. I paid the guy who put my engine in cash but it was a friend that did it so it was kind of a side job for him. At the same time Does that leave the mechanic liable for fixing my car for free becuase he didnt do it right the first time. Oh and I didnt get any paperwork saying that he did anything to my car.
