How did the new cables last? Were they factory cables or aftermarket? Also its the black cable end at the base of the inside shifter breaking? They sell the cable repair for that on ebay Ihave used it a couple of times and never had the cable end break again. The first one I did was 4yrs ago.

The new cables are aftermarket. It broke not long after I put them on. Its the plastic around the cable that it slides through.

Its pretty common for the aftermarket cables to break quick like that from what I hear. The stock break over time though. So did it break where I said it did?If so the cable repair is about 14 on ebay and works great the one I get on there.

Its the cable toward passenger side. When you shift in 3rd or 5th the linkage on shifter looks like its not working right and the cable bends and breaks about 1 inch from where it mounts to floor.
