Code P0306 misfire detected

Have a 1999 Pontiac montana code p0306 misfire detected. Wires new fuel filter in and still the same. Engine light comes on blinking dont know what else to do. Should I change the fuel injector?

Not yet. Blinking means there is unburnt fuel in the exhaust. This means the injector is working.

I would look at the coil or the module. Verify spark is getting to the plug. Make sure there is compression there as well.
