I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix. The Check Engine Light is on and the code is p0449. I replaced the vent valve solenoid located in the left rear wheel well. The light came back on after 10 minutes. We tested for power and ground to the vent valve solenoid and had nothing on the test light. Is there a fuse for the vent valve solenoid? Or do you know what the fix for this problem?

With the key in the run position you should have battery voltage to the pink wire at the vent solenoid. The white wire is ground and is controled by the pcm and will only have ground when the pcm turn's the vent solenoid on. So let's go with why the pink wire doesn't have power. There is a fuse for that solenoid its in the inside fuse panel it's a 10 amp fuse its labeled canister vent. So see if the pink wire to the vent solenoid has battery voltage with the key on the run position if it doesn't then trace power back to that fuse. Let me know what you find.
