What type of primary ignition circuit switching device on a waste-spark ignition system for a 99 plymouth neon? And what color wires are used on the switching device?

So you have no spark? If so the first thing I would check is the crankshaft position sensor. DO you have a multimeter to do some testing?

If you have a distributor it 's a hall effect switch if not it's a crank and cam sensor which goes to pcm and pcm tells coil when to fire from crank sensor position.
