Hi,
I have a 1999 Mitsucbishi Montero sport with a faulty keyless entry/alarm system. This started about a couple of months ago after I replaced the battery. When the car is on or I'm driving, The doors lock and open several times and the flashing lights come on/off. One time I stepped away from car and left engine running, when I came I back it was lock. The same thing happens when I turn on the AC at full speed, or I turn on the wipers. The battery to my car also drains overnight, or if left parked for over 2 hours. I suspect the alarm problem to be the issue. For this reason, I also carry a jump starter in my car. I have replaced all necessary fuses with new one but it didn't help. Please help me diagnose this issue.

Since the battery is draining, you need to locate the source. A parasitic drain test should be carried out and that requires an ammeter connected between the battery and body/engine ground.

Note the amperage and start pulling the main fuses and see which results in the drain dropping.

Have you checked the battery terminal and main connections from the battery to the fuse box for bad connections?
