99 ford f-150 that all of the sudden started to shake really bad when I was driving. I can't go over 40mph due to the severe shaking. Also when I turned into my driveway it was shaking worse. When I go out it smelt like firecrackers but I saw no smoke or liquid leaks anywhere. No check engine lights are on either.

I would suggest cecking the engine for misfiring for a start.

See if it shakes when power braking it. If it does lean toward a coil or ignition problem. If it is smooth when power braking it check your drive shaft u joints.
