1999 Dodge Dakota 4x4, 5.2L V8. How do I get the fan clutch assembly off of my old water pump? I've rented the so-called kit thats supposed to do the job, but to no avale. I now have the water pump sitting on my garage floor and can't get the darn clutch/fan assembly off. Any trade secrets?

They gave me kit 27141 at Autozone, a 5-piece kit. The problem is I've never used a kit like this and my water pump is now on the garage floor, with the fan clutch, and fan still attached to the pump. I can't afford to take it to a mechanic and I'm limited on the tools I have to work with.

In kit will be a wrench that will fit nut problem is take off while pump is bolted to block. So will need a vise to hold wrench can be operated with 1/2 in. Drive ratchet
