I have a hesitation in my 1999 chevy tahoe 5.7 vtek. If it had a carb I would say it had a bad accelerator pump. Once it gets thru the stumble it runs fine until you shut it off and let it sit then it does it again. It has a new fuel pump and the pressure is right. New cap rotor and the plugs and wires have 50k on them.I pulled a plug-gap was good and was clean. When you step down on it while hesitating it will pop back up thru the TB then it will clean up and run fine. Mileage could be better but it seem to be somewhat sluggish.I ran fuel system cleaner in several tanks but didnt chg a thing.

This truck has a bulletin when you replace the fuel pupmp to add a new harness as the new pump has a different connector. The harness on a few years would corrode and cause fuel pump problems or so it would seem. So check pressure as it should be 60-66 psi. Also clean your throttle plate with chokecleaner on both sides. As it may be sticky
