I need to know if it is possible to put a 1999 Saturn SL2 engine in a body or chassis of a 1998 Saturn SL2? Just one year older both are 5 speed trans. I wrecked my car 1999 in a collision I can purchase a 1998 saturn with a blown engine for $500 it will cost $2200 to straighten the frame of my car I got two estamates. What do you think?

A 1999 SL2 is not compatiable with the 1998 SL2 for the 1998 SL2 the 1995-1998 Twin cam saturn engines are compatiable.

He's the expert. Do the motor mounts not mate up saturntech, or is a computer or a combination of incompatibilities?

In 1999 they narrowed the head changed a few things it will mount and bolt up but just not compatiable.
