i think this is an issue with saturns. i thought maybe saturntech would chime in. what's up with the question process input? i dont see how to add details apart from title?

I am here what's going on?Does the key your using look worn down?When the keys get worn down it can cause you to have to jiggle the key for it to turn.Also when the tumblers wear they leave brass behind that cause the cylinders to stick. One more thing the shift interlock cables are out of adjustment and bind up the. Cylinders.

youtube shows not too hard a job to replace it. on my wifes saturn it is hard to actually put key into cylinder. have to try several times both ways and use force.

You just pop off the upper steering shroud unplug the combo switch put the key in acc push the release in an remove the cylinder.You can even key the cylinder to use the same key.

ok sounds good. maybe i can repair the old cylinder? find the bad tumbler(s) and remove it?

If you are having trouble installing the key then sounds like you have a problem with the door that grabs the key to help pull the cylinder out when turning the key off and removing the key.Better to just to just replace the cylinder.
