all of a sudden the 98 sl2 its using more gas nothing done under hood recently except adding oil of course. its not blowin smoke and not running rough but has had some days in damp weather when it runs bad. currently snow season but this just started last week. very noticeable increase.do not smell gas around car either. dont make sense.......

Is there any codes in the computer? Have you checked the coolant temp sensor yet?

not yet but i just remembered she said the idle seemed higher also about the same time frame.

A bad coolant temp sensor can cause idle issues as well as extra fuel use.
