I have a 98 Plymouth Breeze 2.4 cylinder and last Sunday I went to go drive my car, I put my key in the ignition and it wont turn I cant turn it towards me or away and my wheels are locked now as well I can not get it unlocked. My question is have one of the tumblers in the ignition lock fallen out of place? So when I buy a new ignition lock should it fix all the problems? Or is there another underlying problem that I am missing?

Try tugging on the steering wheel in both directions while you turn the ignition switch. Sometimes if you turn it off while holding the steering wheel to one side, there is pressure on the switch that makes it hard to turn.
