There is a grinding or rubbing sound coming from the front passengers side. I have replaced both hub bearing, spindle and hub assembly (because they went bad) so I know that is not the problem. And there is no wear from the hub bearing. But when you take the tire off you can hear the noise when turn it. Some one told me it might be the transmission. It is a 200sx SE-R 5 speed with a 2.0 engine. What could that noise be coming from.

Check the backing plate of the knuckle. If it is too near the rotor, it would result in noise. We can't help you locate the source of noises and you would have to try to identify where it is coming from.
