Hi, my 98 mazda millinia factory security system arms itself 30 seconds after the unlocked door is closed. Opening it without the key in the door sets the alarm off. Mazda tells me the lock switch is no longer available for the front doors. Do you have any ideas of what the actual problem may be?

Could well be that the master actuator is faulty as they say, I have had this problem with other makes, at least Ford do a mod on the models that fail, you may have to get a good second hand unit from a wreckers, but first do a scan on the body control module and see what if any codes are set, start here.
