1998 Kia Sportage difficult to drive forward

1998 Kia Sportage Two Wheel Drive Manual 140387 miles. I just had new rear shocks put on, and now the car is having trouble driving forward. Are they related issues? What area of the car is having trouble if it is difficult to drive forward but okay to drive backward?

No its not related, when was the last time you had the transmission serviced? Maybe the transmission range sensor is not sending signals the computer is to what gear its in.
