Randomly we have problems with the dome light not coming on, the windshield wipers not working and the windows (it is a two door) not going up and down. Sometimes they all work and sometimes one or more will stop working. Not sure if this has anything to do with it but I noticed today that the key is able to be pulled out of the ignition without it being in the off position. Any suggestions?

Sounds like an issue with the GEM module which controls all interior body functions. But to accurately diagnose this trouble codes will need to be retrieved to begin the pinpoint test procedures. What you can do though is verify the basics like proper voltage and good ground connections on the body and at the battery.

It was the GEM module. We ordered a used one on eBay and it took twenty minutes to replace. Everything is working perfectly now. Thanks for your help! I hope this helps someone else too!

I forgot to mention. The part was less than $40.00.
