I am debating on buying this Suv for 2,000 dollars but it has 218,000 miles on it. Good idea or not?

I wouldnt do it unless you have a mechanic take a real good look at it. I bought a 98 6 cyl. With 123000 on it and ive been dumping money into it since I got it. It looked great, but turned out to be a junker. I would recommend you look at a different type of vehicle. From what ive gathered, its not a good rig at all.

Today's vehicles will run for a long time. However, even though the engines run, everything else wears out. If the vehicle was really well taken care of, it will continue going. However, when they get this many miles on it, they become more problematic. Offer them 12 or 15 hundred for it. At least if it becomes a problem, you won't be out as much and it will be easier to recoop your money.
