Good afternoon, I was driving to the pier and I started smelling gas. One of my friends told me he smelled gas a few days ago. I mainly smell it in the rear of the truck. Could that be the cats going/gone bad or just need cleaning? - 98 Expedition 5.4, 4WD

Not really. You need a shop to check the system for leaks and why you have this smell.

Is the check engine light on?

By the way, you cannot clean cats, you replace them when they fail.
