When it reads 30 and you are sitting still, if you press the gas, does the speedo increase?

Okay, that tells me one thing. Is the check engine light on? When the Speedo is at 30, can you drive it? If so, does it shift normally?

Are you sure the trans fluid is clean and full? Also, you really need to have the computer scanned to determine what trouble codes are stored. That may point us directly to the problem.

I will have all that done tomorrow and tell you the results. Could it be the TCM OR MY TRANNY NEEDS REBUILT

The P0700 is a general code that indicates there is a problem within the trans control module. The 715 indicates a bad input speed sensor and the 720 is the output speed sensor. Since the speedo is at 30mph, I would suggest checking the output sensor and wiring to see if that is where the problem is coming from. Keep in mind, it could be the TCM itself.
